Second-half surge lifts Farmington past PCA

Farmington trailed by seven at the half, 28-21, but the Tigers outscored host Portsmouth Christian Academy 26-13 in the second half to come away with a big 47-41 road win on Wednesday evening.

The Eagles came out firing, connecting on eight threes before the break. The second half was a different story, however, as PCA was held without a three-pointer and only made three field goals in the final 16 minutes.

Makayla Lapanne led the Tigers with 14 points, while Madi Ricker added 11 as FHS improves to 7-5 on the season. Maddie West poured in a game-high 17 points and Amanda Leland added 10 for the Eagles, who fall to 8-3.
