Kingsmen down Tigers, remain perfect

In a pivotal Division IV match-up, the undefeated Concord Christian Kingsmen improved to 13-0 on the season with a 69-56 victory over Farmington (11-2) on Tuesday night.

The Kingsmen pumped in 24 fourth-quarter points to pull away late and earn the big win. Sophomore Brode Frink led all scorers with a game-high 28 points, while Ethan Young added 17 points for CCA. The Tigers were paced by 16 points from Jordan Berko, who was plagued with foul trouble for a large portion of the first half. Matt Savoy added 12 points for FHS.

Concord Christian led by eight at the half and six after three quarters of play, but the Tigers managed to cut the lead to three, 46-43, a few minutes into the fourth. The Kingsmen responded with a 13-1 run, that was capped by a Frink tomahawk jam and gave CCA a 15-point lead, 59-44. The deficit was too big for the Tigers to overcome.
