Ballou & Tanner lead Mascoma past Monadnock

CANAAN, NH – Bryce Ballou and Tanner Moulton combined for 48 points to lead Mascoma Valley to a 71-45 victory over visiting Monadnock on Friday night.

The Royals used a full court press to create turnovers and jumped out to a 32-22 lead at the half. Mascoma Valley then poured in 22 third quarter points to blow the game wide open and cruise to the victory.

Ballou tallied 28, while Moulton had 20. Colin Myers chipped in with 10 points as well for the Royals, who stretched their win streak to four games and improved to 8-1 on the season.

Brayden Pierce, an All-State guard for Mascoma Valley from a season ago, was injured in the first half and did not return.

The Huskies were led by 13 points from Tucker Johns and 12 from Kobe Kidney. Monadnock falls to 3-6 in defeat.
