CANAAN, NH – Tanner Moulton’s 28 points paced No. 2 Mascoma Valley in it’s 57-46 win over No. 15 Stevens in first round action of the Division III state tournament on Tuesday night.
The Royals seed would start off hot, finishing the first-quarter up 19-6. Stevens would bounce back, outscoring the hosts 40-37 in the final three quarters, but it wasn’t enough.
Mascoma would end the game with seven threes, including four from Moulton. Bryce Ballou would add a pair of threes, tallying 16 points on the night.
Jacoby Roberts lead the Cardinals with a team-high 19 points.
Mascoma improves to 17-1 on the season and will host Newport in the second round on Friday, while Stevens finishes its season at 4-13.
