By: Logan Paronto

BEDFORD, NH – No. 1 Littleton used a 19-point first quarter to down No. 4 Newmarket 37-31 in semifinal action at Bedford High School on Tuesday night.

The Mules would outscore the Crusaders 27-18 over the next three quarters, but it was too little too late for the fourth seed.

Leah Poulton paced the scoring for Littleton with a game-high 14 points, while Ella Horsch added nine, including two three-pointers in the opening frame.

Amaya Beckles scored nine to lead Newmarket.

Top-seeded Littleton will head to Colby-Sawyer to take on No. 3 Groveton at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Newmarket ends its season with a 17-4 record.
