NORTHWOOD, NH – Jack Matson grabbed his 500th career rebound to help No. 5 Coe-Brown secure its 59-40 win over No. 12 Kennett, Tuesday.
Ryan Kouchoukus started off hot in the first for the Bears, scoring 12 of his team-high 16 points. The hosts would lead 28-23 at half, before scoring 19 in the third to solidify the win.
James McKane and Matson each scored 12 for Coe-Brown, while Grant Hayes added 10.
For the Eagles, Jayden Jackson paced the scoring with 14, while Bo Nuong Jr. tallied 12 of his own.
Coe-Brown will travel to two-time defending champion Pelham in round two, while Kennett ends its season with an 8-11 record.
