KINGSTON, NH – No. 3 Sanborn advanced to the quarterfinal round of the Division II state tourney following its 67-46 win over No. 14 ConVal on Tuesday night.
Dylan Rego and Chase Frizzell, the division’s two top scorers, finished with 43 combined points in the victory.
Rego started off hot, scoring 16 of his game-high 22 points in the first half. Frizzell connected on two threes as part of his 21-point performance.
Zach Collins paced the scoring for the Cougars with 14 points, including four from downtown.
Sanborn will host No. 6 Hollis-Brookline in quarterfinal action on Friday at 6:00 p.m.
ConVal finishes its season with a 7-12 record.
