Farmington sweeps Mount Royal

SUNAPEE, NH – Farmington made the trip to Sunapee on Thursday night and came away with a sweep over host Mount Royal. The FHS girls were victorious 54-33 and the boys won 64-17.

The Tigers trailed 16-11 after one quarter of play in the girls game before blowing things open with a 19-3 second quarter.

Zoey Johnson (19 points) and Shaylee DiPrizio (18) paced the Tigers, while Anna Cardinal added eight. Lucy Treece led the Knights with 18 points and Caiolainn Haefner added 13.

With the win, Farmington improves to 10-3 on the season. Mount Royal falls to 6-5.

In boys action, FHS dominated from the onset as they took quarter one 14-2 and never looked back.

Noah Elwell spearheaded the offense for Farmington with a game-high 17 points, while Keltin Moulton (14 points) and Demery Hadges (10) both chipped in with double-digits. Mount Royal was led by six points from Clayton Griffin.

The Tigers move to 8-4 with the victory and Mount Royal falls to 0-11.

Portsmouth Christian eases past Mount Royal

DOVER, NH – Portsmouth Christian Academy poured in 23 third-quarter points en route to a 63-21 victory over Mount Royal on Friday night.

Cai Summers led all scorers with 29 points for the Eagles. The Knights were paced by six points apiece from Chad Hemmingway and Harrison LaRose.

With the win, PCA moves to 4-2, while MRA drops to 0-6.

PCA defeats Mount Royal

DOVER, NH – Portsmouth Christian Academy defeated visiting Mount Royal, 53-35, on Friday night.

Ava Buchanan led all scorers with 23 points for the Eagles, while running mate Jaela Stockbower tallied 15 of her own.

Lucy Treece netted 20 points to lead the Knights.

With the win, PCA soars to 4-1 on the year, while the Knights drop to 3-4.

Franklin christens new digs with big win over Mount Royal

FRANKLIN, NH – Playing the first game in the newly renovated Franklin High School gym since 1991, the Golden Tornadoes wasted no time making themselves at home as FHS poured in 30 first-quarter points and rolled to a 64-31 victory over Mount Royal Academy on Friday night.

Nathan Holmes netted 11 points in the opening stanza alone, 15 in the game, to pace Franklin while Harrison Kaplan (15) and Matt Carlsen (11) chipped in with double-digits as well.

The Knights were led by 10 points from 8th-grader Chad Hemmingway.

Next up, Franklin hosts Moultonborough at 6:00 PM, while Mount Royal is at Holy Family at Tuesday at 6:30 PM.

Farmington rises above Mount Royal

Farmington held visiting Mount Royal to just nine first-half points en route to a 53-28 win on Monday night.

The Tigers were led by 14 points from Shaylee DiPrizio, while Madi Ricker (13) and Zoey Johnson (11) both netted double figures as well. The Knights were paced by Katherine McMenamen’s 14 points.

With the win, Farmington improves to 11-4 on the season, while Mount Royal falls to 5-8.

Farmington flies past Mount Royal

Farmington jumped out to a lightning-fast 20-2 lead at Mount Royal and never looked back as the Tigers cruised to an 87-24 victory in Sunapee on Friday night.

Shawn Murphy poured in a game-high 20 points, 17 coming in the first half, as all 10 Tigers scored in the game. Jacob Chapman (18) and Demery Hadges (14) also had double digits for Farmington. Leading the way for Mount Royal was Peter Hogan with 17 points.

With the win, Farmington improves to 6-2 on the season, while the Royals fall to 1-7.

Farmington starts slow, finishes strong at Mount Royal

The Farmington girls led by just four at the half, 26-22, but turned it on in the second half to come away with a 59-44 win at Mount Royal in Sunapee on Friday night.

The Tigers were paced by Madi Ricker’s 17 points, while Jaelyn Prosper (14) and Zoey Johnson (12) chipped in with double digits. The Knights were led by Clair McMenaman’s game-high 19 points, while Katherine McMenaman added 17.

With the win, Farmington improves to 6-2 on the season, while Mount Royal falls to 2-5.
