Allard nets 1000th point, leads Bedford past Trinity

BEDFORD, NH – Kate Allard tallied a game-high 17 points, including the 1,000th of her career, to lead Bedford to a 70-19 season-opening victory over Trinity on Friday night.

Bella Landies (15 points) and Ava Collins (10) both netted double-digits for the Bulldogs as well. The Pioneers were led by 8 points from Addison Moynihan.

Hinsdale pulls away from Franklin

HINSDALE, NH – Hinsdale led by just three at the half, but used a strong second half to pull away from visiting Franklin, 59-44, on Friday night.

The Pacers were paced by 21 points from Chris Colon, while Connor Dixon and John Winter netted 14 points apiece. Harrison Kaplan led the Golden Tornadoes with 17 points and Nathan Holmes added 14.

With the win, Hinsdale improves to 3-0 on the season. Franklin falls to 1-2 with the loss.

Berlin defeats Belmont in season opener

BERLIN, NH – Berlin defeated Belmont, 53-37, in a slug fest on Friday night in the season opener for both squads.

The game featured a combined 44 fouls. The host Mountaineers were 21 for 41 from the charity stripe 41 times, while Belmont was just 4-12 from the line.

The Mountaineers scored just seven points in the first quarter and trailed 10-7 after one, but Berlin would then outscore the Red Raiders 35-15 over the next two quarters to pull away.

Berlin was led by 16 points from Emma Rancloes and 12 from Caitlin Kelley. Belmont was paced by 12 points from Bailey Perkins and 10 points apiece from Lyla Mesheffry and Maddie Carrier.

Third-quarter barrage leads Gilford past White Mountains

GILFORD, NH – Gilford used a 29-17 third quarter to pull away from visiting White Mountains, 70-55, on Friday night in the season opener for both teams.

The Golden Eagles led by two at the half, 25-23, but outscored the Spartans by 12 points in the third quarter.

Gilford was paced by 17 points from Brendan Baldi, 16 from Cooper Perkins and 10 from Mark Uicker. Kasen Smith led White Mountains with a game-high 18 points, while Tommaso Paluello (12) and Aiden Whipple (11) chipped in with double-digits as well.

Caruso leads Nashua South past Goffstown

GOFFSTOWN, NH – Behind a game-high 30 points from Josh Caruso, Nashua South went on the road and defeated Goffstown, 74-60, on Friday night in the season opener for both teams.

The Panthers outscored the Grizzlies 24-8 in the second quarter and followed that up with a 24-11 third quarter to blow the game open.

South had 13 players score, while Noah Durham led Goffstown with 17.

Bishop Guertin hangs on to down Concord Christian Academy

CONCORD, NH – Bishop Guertin was held to just three fourth-quarter points, but held on for a 38-36 win at Concord Christian Academy in the season opener for both squads on Friday night.

Maddi Long led BG with 11 points, while Emma Smith paced CCA with a game-high 15 points.

Pinkerton tops North in a D-I showdown

NASHUA, NH – In a rematch of last season’s Division I title game, Pinkerton once again came out on top with a 78-66 victory over Nashua North on Friday night in the season opener for both teams.

North led after one, 14-13, but Pinkerton used a 25-point second quarter to take a nine-point lead to half and that frame proved to be the difference. The two squads play nearly even in the second half and the Astros came away with the 12-point win.

Pinkerton was led by Brady Sullivan’s 20 points, while Josh Phanor (19), Ryan Bonilla (18) and Wilson Youssef (14) all netted double-figures as well. The Titans got a game-high 27 points from Robinson Rodriguez and 21 from Alize Cortez-Roig

Second-quarter surge sends Alvirne past Manchester Memorial

NASHUA, NH – Alvirne outscored visiting Manchester Memorial 23-6 in the second quarter to come awaywith a 59-45 victory on Friday night in the debut for first-year head coach Mitchell Roy.

The Broncos trailed 10-7 after one quarter of play, but the second quarter barrage gave them a 30-16 lead at the break. Alvirne never looked back.

Garrett Hall led all scorers with a game-high 20 points for the Broncos, while Sammy Dewitt added 15. The Crusaders were paced by 19 points from Jack Brooks, including 15 in the 4th quarter alone.
