CONCORD, NH – No. 2 Concord Christian used a six three-point fields and 37 points in the first-half to down No. 7 Groveton in Division IV quarterfinal action on Thursday night.
TJ Charbono started off the first half hot, draining four threes as part of his 17 point outburst.
The momentum would carry into the third for the home side, who ended the period with a 50-37 lead.
Dylan Simino would play hero for the Eagles in the fourth, scoring 11 of his season high 18 in the final period. Groveton would outscore CCA 19-11 in the fourth and 29-24 in the second, but it was the hot start that proved to be too much to handle.
Charbono would finish with a game-high 23 points, while Luke Farland added 17 of his own.
Ashton Kenison paced the Eagles scoring with 20.
CCA will travel to Laconia High School to play No. 3 Littleton in semifinal action on Monday at 5:30 p.m.
Groveton finishes the season with a 12-8 record.
