GROVETON, NH – No. 3 Groveton soared past No. 6 Portsmouth Christian Academy, 69-40, on Friday night in quarterfinal action of the Division IV state tournament.
The Groveton Eagles advance to the semifinals to take on No. 2 Holy Family on Tuesday at Bedford High School at 5:30 pm.
Delaney Whiting poured in a game-high 21 points to lead Groveton, while Julia Chappell (12), Aspen Clermont (10) and Mylee Kenison (10) all netted double digits. PCA was paced by 17 points from Ava Buchanan.
With the win, the Eagles improve to 18-2 on the season, while PCA’s season comes to an end at 14-6.
