PCA earns come-from-behind win at Farmington

FARMINGTON, NH – Portsmouth Christian Academy trailed by three points entering the fourth quarter, but the visiting Eagles outscored Farmington 21-12 in the final stanza to come away with a hard-fought 59-53 victory on Tuesday night.

Cai Summers netted a game-high 19 points for the Eagles, while Zach Beal and Zealand Marquis added 11 points apiece. The Tigers were paced by 14 points by Noah Elwell, 13 from Keltin Moulton and 10 from Lucas Watson.

With the win, PCA improves to 3-2 on the season, while Farmington has dropped three-straight regular-season games and falls to 2-3.

Tigers Tame Eagles

FARMINGTON, NH – Farmington held Portsmouth Christian Academy to just four points in the second half and cruised to 61-29 victory on Tuesday night.

Zoey Johnson led all scorers with a game-high 25 points, while Madi Ricker added 13 and all eight Tigers scored. The Eagles were paced by Ava Buchanan with 14 points.

With the win, Farmington snaps a two-game regular-season skid and improves to 3-2 on the season. PCA falls to 3-2.

Strong second-half sends Oyster River past Timberlane

DURHAM, NH – Oyster River outscored Timberlane 33-19 in the second half to erase a three-point halftime deficit and come away with a hard-fought 54-43 victory on Monday night.

The Bobcats were paced by 20 points from Olivia Anderson, 19 from Viv O’Quinn and 13 from Wren Horne. Rylee Donahue and Ella Lampron each netted 14 points apiece for the Owls.

Battle of unbeatens: Kearsarge closes out Mascoma

NORTH SUTTON, NH – With the game tied at 44-44 entering the final frame, Kearsarge poured in 23 fourth-quarter points to come away with a 67-56 victory over visiting Mascoma Valley on Monday night.

It was a back-and-forth game for the first three quarters until the Cougars pulled away late to earn a key victory in a battle between undefeated teams.

Noah Whipple led all scorers with a game-high 27 points for Kearsarge, while Eli Whipple and Austin Needham added 15 and 13 points, respectively.

Mascoma Valley was paced by Bryce Ballou’s 25 points and Brayden Pierce (13) and Brody Goulette (10) chipped in with double-digits as well.

With the win, the Cougars improve to 6-0 on the season, while the Royals, who were playing without All-State forward Tanner Moulton, fall to 4-1.

Newport wins battle with Monadnock

NEWPORT, NH – Newport won a hotly contested battle over visiting Monadnock on Friday night, 69-61.

The Tigers trailed by one at the half, but outscored the Huskies by nine in the second half to come away with the victory.

Christian Forsythe led Newport with 23 points, while Aaron Fellows (22) and Adrian Sanchez (15) both netted double digits as well. Sumner Hill-Goodell paced Monadnock with 23 points and Kobe Kidney and Mateo Cintro scored 13 and 12 points, respectively.

With the win, the Tigers have now won three straight to improve to 3-1 on the season. The Huskies fall to 2-2.

Laconia downs Milford, moves to 4-0

MILFORD, NH – Laconia held Milford to just 13 first-half points en route to a 50-35 victory on Friday night.

The Sachems were led by the duo of Ava Currier (20) and Macy Swormstedt (17) who combined for 37 of their 50 points.

Avery Fuller paced the Spartans with a team-high 13 points.

With the win, Laconia improves to 4-0 on the season, while Milford suffers its first loss and falls to 2-1.
