Strong second half sends Groveton to D-IV final

BEDFORD, NH – No. 3 Groveton score 32 second-half points en route to 51-29 win over No. 2 Holy Family in semifinal action on Tuesday night at Bedford High School.

The Eagles led by just three points at half, before scoring 16 in each the third and fourth quarters to book their ticket to the finals.

Groveton used a balanced scoring attack in the second half, with five players scoring in each of the final two quarters.

Julia Chappell led the way with her season-high 13 points, while Aspen Clermont and Mylee Kenison added 12, respectively.

Ryenn Pedone scored 10 points to pace the Griffins.

Groveton will match up with top-seeded Littleton in the finals at Colby-Sawyer on Saturday.

Holy Family end their season with a 19-2 record.
