West comes from behind to down Kingswood

Manchester West trailed by six at the break, but the visiting Blue Knights outscored Kingswood 40-26 in the second half to come away with a 69-61 road win on Tuesday night.

Angel Castro led all scorers with a game-high 24 points for West, while Aiden Scott Beaulac (15) and Max Shosa (14) both netted double figures as well.

Kingswood was paced by 15 points from Casey Arsenault and 13 from Brady Moulton.

West has now won seven straight and improves to 10-2 on the season, while the Knights fall to 6-7.

Defense leads Plymouth past CBNA

Trailing by one entering the fourth quarter, 34-33, Plymouth held Coe-Brown scoreless in the final stanza to come away with a hard-fought 42-34 victory over visiting Winnisquam on Monday night.

Gilford soars to 17-0

Gilford improved to 17-0 on the season with a convincing 62-39 victory over Winnisquam on Tuesday night.

Jalen Reese led all scorers with 22 points for Gilford, while Isaiah Reese added 16 points. Anthony Boomer paced Winnisquam with 16 points.

The Golden Eagle victory was their 32nd straight win, dating back to Dec. 22, 2021. The loss snapped the Bears (10-4) four-game win streak.

Next up for Gilford is a trip to Belmont on Friday in the regular-season finale for both squads. The Golden Eagles had their toughest test of the season at home versus the Red Raiders back on Jan. 10 as they narrowly won, 61-58.

Dover downs Manchester Memorial

Dover defeated visiting Manchester Memorial, 61-46, on Monday night in Division I action.

Dylan Jabre (16), Stephen Gitau (14) and John Arakelian (12) all netted double figures for Dover in the win.

The Green Wave started the season 0-4, but have won five of their last eight games to improve to 5-7 on the season. Memorial drops its fifth-straight game and falls to 4-7 overall.

Sanborn survives Hanover

Sanborn pulled off a close 62-58 victory over visiting Hanover on Monday night in Kingston.

The Indians led by two at the half and four after three and hung on for the win. Sanborn snapped a three-game skid with the victory to improve to 3-9 on the season, while Hanover falls to 1-12.

CCA snaps Conant’s 15-game win streak

In a battle between the top two teams in Division III, host Concord Christian avenged their only loss of the season by handing Conant their first loss of the year, 56-40, on Monday night.

The Kingsmen were led by a trio of double-figure scorers:  Emma Smith (game high 21 points), Lilli Carlile (19) and Sara Muir (13). Conant was paced by 18 points from Emma Tenters and 10 points from Brynn Rautiola. 

Both squads are now knotted atop the D-III standings with identical 15-1 marks.

Tigers down Rams

Farmington improved to 14-2 on the season with a 73-54 victory over visiting Nute on Monday night in the Route 75 rivalry game between the two neighboring Division IV squads.

Jordan Berko (20 points) paced the Tigers in the victory, while Shawn Murphy (12) and Brian Boisvert (11) added double-digits as well. The Rams were led by Gavin Forcier’s 20 points and 12 from Chase Picard.

Farmington rolls past Nute

Farmington rolled to a 60-13 victory over visiting Nute on Monday night in the Route 75 rivalry game between the two Division IV squads.

Sophomore Madi Ricker pumped in a game high 18 points and freshman Anna Cardinal added 13 points in three quarters of play to lead the Tigers to their fifth-straight victory. Nute (0-14) remains winless on the season.
