Concord Christian completes perfect season with D-IV crown

Concord Christian Academy put the cherry on top of its undefeated season with a 46-28 win over #3 Derryfield to capture the 2022 NHIAA Division IV Girls Basketball State Championship on Sunday afternoon at Keene State College.

Holy Family comes from behind to advance to semifinals

Sixth-seeded Holy Family trailed by 12 at the half, but outscored #14 Newmarket in the second half 38-17 to earn a 58-49 come-from-behind win in the quarterfinals of the NHIAA Division IV Boys Basketball State Tournament in Manchester on Thursday night.

Holy Family was led by Yves Mugiraneza (20 points) and Gabe Lacasse (18), while Newmarket was paced by a game-high 23 points from Colby Bost. The Griffins advance to the semifinals and will take on top-seeded Concord Christian.

Top-seeded Woodsville survives scare from #9 Farmington

Top-seeded and undefeated Woodsville survived #9 Farmington on Thursday night, 60-47, to advance to the semifinals of the NHIAA Division IV Boys Basketball State Tournament. The Tigers trailed by just five with less than two minutes to play before the Engineers pu lled away for the victory.

Cam Tenney-Burt poured in a game-high 35 points for the Engineers, while Farmington was paced by Jeffrey DiPrizio’s 15 points.

Concord Christian headed to D-IV girls championship game

Top-seeded Concord Christian pulled away from #4 Woodsville late to earn a 64-44 semifinal victory in the NHIAA Division IV Girls Basketball State Tournament at Newfound Regional High School in Bristol on Wednesday night. The Kingsmen advance to the state final where they will take on #3 Derryfield on Sunday at 1:00 pm at Keene State College.

CCA was paced by 20 points apiece from Lilli Carlile and Sarah Muir, while Mackenzie Kingsbury connected on seven three-pointers en route to a game-high 25 points for the Engineers.

Farmington upsets Groveton in D-IV prelims

Ninth seeded Farmington went on the road and defeated #8 Groveton, 51-31, to advance to the quarterfinal round of the NHIAA Division IV Boys Basketball State Tournament on Monday night.

Jordan Berko led FHS with 14 points, while Brian Weeks and Shawn Murphy added 12 and 11, respectively. The Eagles were paced by 13 points from Ben Wheelock.

FHS will take on top-seeded and undefeated Woodsville in the quarterfinals on Thursday.

Undefeated Conant cruises to D-III girls title game

Undefeated Conant showed absolutely no signs of slowing down in the semifinals as the top-seeded Orioles cruised to a 60-23 victory over #4 Newfound on Wednesday night to advance to the finals of the NHIAA Division III Girls Basketball State Tournament. 

Conant was led by a game-high 23 points from Emma Tenters, while the Bears were paced by Malina Bohlmann’s 9 points. 

The Orioles will take on #6 Monadnock on Sunday at 1:00 pm at Keene State College.
