Post-season run continues to the D-III final for #6 Monadnock

The sixth-seeded Monadnock Huskies kept their post-season run alive on Wednesday night as they defeated #2 Fall Mountain, 49-34, in semifinal round action to advance to the title game of the NHIAA Division III Girls Basketball State Tournament. Monadnock was led by Breann Lawrence’s game-high 11 points, while the Wildcats were paced by a team-high 8 points from Nora Dunigan.

Monadnock will take on #1 Conant in the final on Sunday at 1:00 pm at Keene State College.

Kearsarge comes from behind to punch ticket to D-III final

Trailing by three entering the fourth quarter, #3 Kearsarge rallied to pull off a, 45-42, come-from-behind win over #7 Mascoma on Tuesday night to advance to the NHIAA Division III Boys Basketball State Championship. The Cougars were led by a game-high 20 points from Chris Stanchfield, while the Royals were paced by Zach Thompson’s 16 points.

Bishop Guertin pulls off dramatic comeback to capture D-I title

The fifth-seeded Bishop Guertin Cardinals came-from-behind to upset #2 Bedford to capture the NHIAA Division I Girls Basketball Championship on Sunday evening at UNH’s Lundholm Gymnasium.

Trailing by two with just over a minute to play, Bishop Guertin’s Brooke Paquette knocked down a go-ahead three-pointer that gave the Cardinals the lead for good and the upset win for title.

Souhegan captures D-II title in overtime thriller

The top-seeded Souhegan Sabers captured the NHIAA Division II Boys Basketball State Championship on Sunday afternoon with a thrilling 53-51 overtime victory over #3 ConVal at UNH’s Lundholm Gymnasium.

Matt Canavan netted a game-high 19 points to pace the Sabers, while ConVal’s Joe Gutwein led all scoreres with a game-high 21 points. Check out the full photo gallery…

Trinity crowned D-I champs in epic battle with Goffstown

In one of the greatest games in NHIAA tournament history, the top-seeded Trinity Pioneers outlasted #3 Goffstown, 64-62, on Sunday morning to take home the NHIAA Division I Boys Basketball State Championship at the University of New Hampshire’s Lundholm Gymnasium. More to come…

The Pioneers were paced by a team-high 23 points, while Aiden O’Connell netted 23 of his own for the Grizzlies.

Ball Access: Trinity head coach Keith Bike

Introducing Ball Access, a behind the scenes, all access look at basketball in the Granite State. In our first installment, we went right to the top, to the best team in the 603… the Trinity Pioneers. 

Head coach Keith Bike let us inside his huddle and on his sideline as the #1 seed in the Division I state tournament defeated #4 Pinkerton, 74-57. The Pioneers now play for the championship this Sunday.

#1 Trinity rolls past #4 Pinkerton, advances to D-I final

Top-seeded Trinity proved to be too much for #4 Pinkerton to handle as the Pioneers rolled to a 74-57 victory over the Astros in the NHIAA Division I Boys Basketball State Tournament at Exeter High School on Wednesday night. Trinity advances to take on #3 Goffstown on Sunday at the University of New Hampshire at 10:00 am.
