Tigers blow past Golden Tornadoes

Farmington jumped out to a quick 11-0 lead at Franklin on Monday night and never looked back as the Tigers blew past the host Golden Tornadoes, 70-36. Senior Jordan Berko led the way for FHS with 19 points, while Matt Savoy added a career-high 18 points. Franklin was paced by Zeke McCoy’s game-high 24 points.

The Tigers improve to 5-1 on the season, while Franklin drops to 1-3.

Third quarter streak leads Farmington past Franklin

Leading by one at the half, 22-21, Farmington connected on five three-pointers in the third quarter to take a 17-point lead and hung on for a 51-44 win at Franklin on Monday night.

The Tigers were led by a team-high 15 points from sophomore Madi Ricker. Teammate Makayla Lapanne (10 points) also chipped in with double figures, while Jaelyn Prosper netted nine, all on three point field goals in the third. The Golden Tornadoes were paced by a game-high 16 points from Lily Cornell and Kourtney Kaplan added 13 of her own.

The win snapped a two-game skid for Farmington, who evens its record at 3-3. Franklin drops to 1-3 on the early season.

PCA earns first win, hands Farmington first loss

Farmington jumped out to an early 17-7 lead after one quarter, but Portsmouth Christian clawed their way back and earned a 63-56 come-from-behind victory over the Tigers on Wednesday night in Farmington.

Ike Kohl knocked down five three-pointers en route to a game-high 20 points for the Eagles, while Cai Summers (16) and Connor Hickey (11) also chipped in with double-digits. The Tigers were paced by 19 points from Jordan Berko, 13 of those coming in the first half, and 11 apiece from Brian Boisvert and Aiden Place.

The loss was the Tigers first of the season (4-1), while the win was PCA’s first of the year (1-3). Farmington was playing without Shawn Murphy (hand).

Second-half surge propels PCA past Farmington

Portsmouth Christian and Farmington were knotted at halftime, 22-22, but the Eagles outscored the Tigers by 10 in the second half to come away with a 48-38 road victory on Wednesday night. Maddie West and Ava Buchanan led PCA with 12 points apiece, while Hannah Dion added 11 of her own. Farmington was led by 13 points from Jaelyn Prosper.

Tschudin leads Sunapee past Farmington

Sunapee senior Liz Tschudin netted 17 points to lead the Lakers past Farmington, 38-23, on Monday night. The Lakers held the Tigers to just six points in the first half en route to the victory. The Tigers were led by 9 points from senior Makayla Lapanne and 8 points by freshman Anna Cardinal.

Farmington improves to perfect 4-0

Farmington’s defensive pressure was too much for Sunapee on Monday night as the Tigers came away with a 58-27 win. The Tigers held the Lakers to just two points in the first quarter and one point in the final stanza to come away with their fourth-straight win to start the season.

Seniors Jordan Berko (14 points) and Matt Savoy (13) both netted double-figures to pace the Tigers. Sunapee, who falls to 0-2 on the season, was led by Sam Flint’s 12 points.

Hot-shooting Tigers roll past Warriors

The Farmington boys jumped out to an 11-3 lead just 90 seconds into the game and never looked back. Behind 12 three-point field goals, the Tigers led wire-to-wire at Wilton-Lyndeborough and came away with an impressive 69-38 victory.

Farmington was led by junior Shawn Murphy’s 20 points, while seniors Brian Boisvert (13 points) and Matt Savoy (11) also netted double figures for the Tigers. The Tigers move to 3-0 on the season, while the Warriors fall to 0-2.

Lapanne leads Tigers past Warriors

Behind a game-high 17 points from Makayla Lapanne, the Farmington girls went on the road and defeated Wilton-Lyndeborough, 39-30, on Friday night. The Tigers managed just three points in the first quarter and trailed 16-14 at half before rallying for the victory. 

Farmington improves to 2-1 on the season, while the Warriors fall to 0-3.

Berko leads Farmington past Epping

Senior Jordan Berko scored a game-high 20 points to lead Farmington past Epping, 56-44, on Wednesday night. The Blue Devils were led by 14 points from Dylan Cummings. The Tigers improve to 2-0 on the season, while the Blue Devils fall to 0-2.

Epping survives at Farmington

The Epping girls went on the road and survived a close contest at Farmington, 34-33, on Wednesday night. For the Blue Devils, Mae McAniff led the way with 8 points, while the Tigers were paced by a game-high 10 points from freshman Anna Cardinal. Epping improves to 2-0 on the season, while Farmington falls to 1-1.
