Goffstown snaps skid,defeats Manchester Memorial

MANCHESTER, NH – Goffstown went on the road and defeated Manchester Memorial, 53-36, on Friday night.

Jenna Shannon knocked down five threes to lead the Grizzlies with a game-high 15 points. Reece Still added 10 for Goffstown.

Avery Jenkins paced Memorial with 10 points.

With the win, the Grizzlies snapped a four-game skid and improved to 2-7 on the season. The Crusaders fall to 1-9.

Paquette pours in 34, including 1000th, to lead Londonderry

LONDONDERRY, NH – Mason Paquette poured in a game-high 34 points, including the 1000th of his career, to lead Londonderry to a hard-fought 75-66 victory over visiting Goffstown on Tuesday night.

This was a one possession game for three quarters and the Lancers were able to break away in the fourth. 

Paquette entered the game just two points shy of the 1000th-point milestone and ended up putting on a show, scoring 34 points on the night including six three-pointers. Matt Luongo also added 14 points to the total and Kiet Tatten scored 12 for the Lancers. 

Goffstown had four double digit scorers. They were led by Gio Santos who put up 22 points, while Isaiah Santos, Tyler Dionne and Noah Durham scored 10 apiece. 

With the win, the Lancers climb over .500 and move to 5-4 on the year. The Grizzlies move to 4-5 on the season following the loss.

Sullivan nets 1000th, leads Lancers past Grizzlies

GOFFSTOWN, NH – Sammie Sullivan scored the 1000th point of her Londonderry career in a big 78-31 win for the Lancers over Goffstown on Tuesday night.

Sullivan entered the game needing just 14 points to reach the 1000-point plateau and she led all scorers with 22 points, reaching the milestone in the 2nd quarter. Sullivan was helped out by Mia Giampa who had 18 points, as well as Gemma Murray with 14. 

The Grizzlies were paced by Morghan Dodge who had 12 points on 4 three-point field goals. Meredith Winterburn also got into double digits on the night with 10 points. 

With the win, Londonderry continues their excellent start to the season and moves to 7-0, while Goffstown falls to 1-7 with the loss.

Goffstown flies past Concord

GOFFSTOWN, NH – Goffstown had 11 players score as the host Grizzlies cruised past visiting Concord, 70-34 on Friday night. 

Gio Santos scored all of his team-high 14 points in the first half for Goffstown, while Liam O’Brien added 11 of his own. 

JD Nkuruniza paced the Crimson Tide with a team-high 12 points.

With the win, Goffstown moves to 4-4 and Concord drops to 0-8.

Salem sails past Goffstown

GOFFSTOWN, NH – Salem went on the road and improved to 3-0 on the season with a dominant 59-17 victory at Goffstown on Thursday night.

The Blue Devils were led by 17 points from Lindsay Goetz, while Lily George also scored in double-digits with 13 points, 12 of which came in the first quarter.

The Grizzlies fall to 0-3 to start the year.

Dewitt drops 30 as Alvirne hangs on to defeat Goffstown

GOFFSTOWN, NH – Sammy Dewitt poured in 30 points, all in the first half, as Alvirne held on for a 51-49 victory at Goffstown on Monday night.

Dewitt connected on five threes in the 1st quarter and two more in the 2nd, en route to 30 points through 16 minutes of action. The senior was held in scoreless in the 2nd half and the Grizzlies mounted their come back.

Goffstown trailed 40-23 at the break, but allowed just 11 second half points, including three in the 4th quarter.

Deely also netted double-digits for Alvirne with 12 of his own. Goffstown was paced by 17 points from G Santos with five threes of his own.

With the win, the Broncos improve to 2-0 on the young season, while the Grizzlies fall to 0-2.

Caruso leads Nashua South past Goffstown

GOFFSTOWN, NH – Behind a game-high 30 points from Josh Caruso, Nashua South went on the road and defeated Goffstown, 74-60, on Friday night in the season opener for both teams.

The Panthers outscored the Grizzlies 24-8 in the second quarter and followed that up with a 24-11 third quarter to blow the game open.

South had 13 players score, while Noah Durham led Goffstown with 17.

Strong start propels North past Goffstown

No. 3 Nashua North jumped out to a quick 10-point lead and went on to defeat No. 9 Goffstown 76-64 in first round action of the 2024 NHIAA Division I Boys Basketball State Tournament on Wednesday night.

The Titans advance to the quarterfinals where they will take on #6 Windham on Saturday at 7:00 pm.

North was led by 20 points apiece from Robinson Rodriguez and Parth Miglani, 12 from Jaden Pena and 11 points apiece from Alize Roig-Cortez and Luke Peters. The Grizzlies were led by a trio of double-digit scorers: Cam Hujsak (15), Xander McBournie (14) and Noah Durham (12).

Alvirne upsets Goffstown thanks to clutch free throws

Down two in the waining moments, Alvirne’s Rachel Allvard was fouled attempting a three-pointer as time expired and connected on all three subsequent free throws to give the #11 Broncos a 50-49 upset win at #6 Goffstown in first round action of the NHIAA Division I Girls Basketball State Tournament on Tuesday night.

Alvirne got off to a slow start as the Broncos trailed 16-6 after the 1st quarter and 29-18 at the half. But a 20-7 3rd period gave Alvirne a 38-36 lead heading into the final stanza.

For the Broncos, Allvard netted a team-high 18 points, while Ella Hartson added 10. The Grizzlies were paced by a game-high 22 points from Maggie Sasso.

Marshall’s 40 points leads Pinkerton at Goffstown

Jackson Marshall poured in 40 points as Pinkerton survived at Goffstown on Tuesday night, 86-80.

The Astros led 43-27 at the half and appeared to be in control, but the host Grizzlies poured in 30 third-quarter points to cut the lead to five, 62-57, entering the final frame. Marshall scored 11 and Drew Brander added nine in the 4th quarter as Pinkerton held on for the win.

Brander finished with 16 points, while Charlie Ludden added 18 for the Astros. Goffstown was paced by 20 points from Tyler Dionne, 18 from Cam Hujsak, 16 from Isaiah Santos and 11 from Noah Durham.

With the win, Pinkerton improves to 16-1 on the season, while the Grizzlies fall to 7-10.
