Manchester Memorial survives Merrimack

After starting the season with two close losses, Manchester Memorial recorded its first win of the season with a thrilling 56-55 victory over visiting Merrimack on Thursday night.

It was a back and forth affair that saw the lead change hands four times in the final two minutes. Abdalha Ramadhani’s jump hook in the lane proved to be the game winner for the Crusaders, who improve to 1-2 on the season. Ramadhani led Memorial with a team-high 15 points, while teammates Kellen Kay (11) Devin Lavallee (10) chipped in with double-digits as well.

The Tomahawks (2-2) were led by a game-high 16 points from Isaac Infante and 14 points from Luke Desfosses.

The Romike Report: Profile remains unbeaten

In another battle of the unbeatens on Wednesday night, Profile (5-0) handed visiting Colebrook (3-1) their first loss of the season, 80-52. It was a tale of two halves for the Patriots as they led by just three 30-27 at the break before pouring it on in the second half to come away with the 28-point victory.

Profile’s Josh Robie was off the mark in the first half, netting just 8 points, but he came out on fire in the second half. The junior connected on five three pointers in the second half en route to a game-high 33 points. Teammate Alex Leslie added 18 points for the Patriots. Colebrook 18 points from Kolten Dowse and 11 from Kaiden Dowse.

Clermont reaches 1,000-point plateau

Lin-Wood’s Cam Clermont entered the night needing 27 points to eclipse the 1,000-point plateau and the senior netted 28 in the first half to reach the prestigious milestone. The Lumberjacks rolled past Lisbon, 65-19, on Wednesday evening.

With the win, the Lumberjacks get their first win of the season, while the Panthers drop to 0-4 on the season.

Belmont downs Mascoma in battle of unbeatens

Undefeated Belmont (4-0) handed Mascoma Valley (3-1) their first loss of the season as the Bears downed the Royals, 46-38, on Wednesday night. Belmont’s Keegan Martinez led all scorers with 14 points, while teammates Sam Reposa (12) and Anakin Underhill (10) both chipped in with double figures as well. Mascoma was paced by 11 points from James Thomas and 10 from Tanner Moulton.

Prospect Mountain earns first win in dramatic fashion

Nate Archambault’s three pointer with 15 seconds left in overtime lifted Prospect Mountain to their first victory of the season, a 53-51 win over visiting Inter-Lakes.

The Timberwolves had three players with a team-high nine points, Nate Leavitt, Joseph Deane and Archambault. The Lakers were paced a game-high 20 points from Owen Brown and 12 from Roley Hoag. Inter-Lakes (1-4) has now dropped four straight, while Prospect (1-4) earns its first win of the season.

Epping hands Newmarket first loss

Behind a team-high 17 points from Jacob Twombly, Epping handed visiting Newmarket its first loss of the season, 53-51, on Wednesday night. The Blue Devils opened the game on an 8-0 run, but Newmarket battled back to take a one-point lead to the break. Epping won the third quarter, 13-9, and didn’t look back as they held on for the win over the Mules, who were playing without star Baris Fortier. Newmarket was led by 21 points from Parker Sweitzer.

Epping improves to 2-3 on the season, while Newmarket falls to 3-1.
