The fourth-ranked Keene State men’s basketball team had its 15-game, season-opening win streak snapped on Monday night by #11 Middlebury, 86-82, at Spaulding Gym in Keene.
It was a back-and-forth affair as the Owls trailed in the first half by as many as 11 and then led late in the second half by five before the visiting Panthers closed the game on an 8-0 run to come away with the victory.

Pembroke Academy improved to 7-1 on the season with a 69-54 victory over visiting John Stark in Division II action on Monday night.
The Spartans were led by a game-high 21 points from Josh Pilotte, 15 from Joe Fitzgerald and 12 from Mike Strazzeri. Dylan Grivois paced the winless Generals (0-7) with 13 points, while Donnie White (11) and Abe Twomey (10) also netted double figures.
Next up for Pembroke is a big showdown with undefeated Souhegan on Friday night in Pembroke.

The Division IV Groveton Eagles earned a tough 51-46 victory over visiting Newmarket on Friday night. The Eagles improve to 6-1 on the season, with their only loss being a three-point defeat at D-III White Mountains.
Freshman Ashton Kenison earned the first start of his career and netted a game-high 20 points to lead Groveton.
The Mules, who returned Baris Fortier to the lineup after being sidelines for a month due to injury, have now lost four-straight and five of their last six and sit at 4-5 on the season.

Manchester West defeated visiting ConVal, 88-61, on Saturday. The Blue Knights were led by their big three of Angel Castro (28 points), Max Shosa (24) and Aiden Scott-Beaulac (19). ConVal’s Joe Gutwein’s 21 points. West improves to 5-3 on the season, while the Cougars fall to 4-2.

The Raymond boys snapped a six-game losing streak with a big victory over visiting Somersworth, 62-58, on Friday night. The Rams improve to 2-5 on the season, while the Hilltoppers had their five-game win streak snapped and drop to 5-3.

The Goffstown girls pushed their win streak to six games with a 64-38 victory over visiting Nashua North on Friday night.
The Grizzlies were led by Ava Winterburn’s game-high 25 points, including 14 in the first quarter. The Titans were paced by 12 from Aiden Walker and 10 from Natalee McInerney.

The Trinity boys went on the road and earned a 58-42 victory over host Spaulding in Rochester on Friday night. The Pioneers (3-3) snapped a three-game skid, while the Red Raiders (0-7) are still in search of their first win of the season.
Trinity’s Tyler Bike netted a team-high 18 points and Devohn Ellis added 17. Zander Walbridge led all scorers with a game-high 21 points for the Red Raiders.

The undefeated Bedford Bulldogs (7-0) dominated Concord (3-4) from start to finish to earn a 59-22 win over the visiting Crimson Tide on Friday night.
The Bulldogs were paced by a game-high 21 points from Lana McCarthy and 17 from Kate Allard. Concord was led by Aidan Smalley’s nine points.

Derryfield jumped out to 14-6 lead after one and never looked back as the Cougars cruised to a 57-32 victory over visiting Timberlane on Friday night.
The Cougars were led by 14 points from Tia Ferdinando and 13 from Chloe Bremberg. Cassidy Powers led the Owls with 10 of her own.
Derryfield improves to 4-3 on the season, while Timberlane falls to 2-5.
