Sanborn comes-from-behind at Milford

MILFORD, NH – Sanborn erased a nine-point halftime deficit to earn a 48-42 come-from-behind victory at Milford on Tuesday night.

The host Spartans jumped out to a 26-17 lead at the half, but the Indians outscored Milford 31-16 in the second half to come away with the win.

Chase Frizzell and Dylan Rego netted 18 points apiece to lead all scorers for Sanborn. The Spartans were paced by 15 points from Kenyon Sara and 10 by Will O’Connell.

With the win, Sanborn stretches its win streak to six and improves to 8-3 on the season. Milford falls to 4-5.

Bedford flexes D-I muscle, cruises past unbeaten Windham

WINDHAM, NH – In a battle between two of the three Division I unbeatens, Bedford remained perfect with a 65-40 win over host Windham on Tuesday night. 

Kate Allard scored 20 points to led the way for the Bulldogs, with Mel McCarthy (18) and Sarah Muir (16) also adding double digits.

The Jaguars were paced by Meghan Husson’s team-high 20 points, including three three-pointers. 

With the win, Bedford improves to 11-0 and Windham falls to 9-1.

Strong second half sends Pelham past Lebanon

PELHAM, NH – Host Pelham started slow, but finished strong to record its eighth-straight victory with a 78-52 win over Lebanon on Tuesday night.

The Raiders jumped out to an 18-13 lead after one quarter of play before the Pythons poured in 22 second-quarter points to take a 35-30 lead to the half. Pelham outscored Lebanon 43-22 in the second half to cruise to the victory. 

Brady O’Connor led all scorers with a game-high 18 points for the Pythons. Brady Hegan (17 points), Justin Bowlan (12) and Shawn Bodenrader (12) all netted double digits as well for Pelham. Tyler Rainey paced Lebanon with 15 points.

With the win, Pelham improves to 8-2 on the season, while Lebanon falls to 1-8.

Portsmouth wins overtime thriller versus Nashua North

PORTSMOUTH, NH – The Portsmouth boys continue to find ways to win. The Clippers trailed for most of the game on Tuesday night, but Isaiah Reis’ corner jumper forced overtime and Portsmouth went on to defeat visiting Nashua North, 67-65. 

Derek Swartz paced Portsmouth with 23 points, while Reis and Ryan Swarz both finished with 12 points apiece. The Clippers had no answer for Robinson Rodriguez as he poured in a game-high 35 points to lead the Titans.

Coming off its only loss of the season, Portsmouth improves to 10-1 on the season with the victory. North has now dropped five-straight and falls to 3-8.

The stage is now set for a huge showdown on Friday night as the Clippers travel to Keene to take on the

Ray’s 35 leads Belmont to huge D-III win at Gilford

GILFORD, NH – In a battle between two one-loss squads atop the Division III standings, Belmont’s Treshawn Ray poured in a career-high 35 points to lead the Red Raiders to a convincing 69-43 win at Gilford on Tuesday night.

The opening quarter was tightly contested with Belmont clinging to a two-point lead, 12-10. The Red Raiders poured in 23 second-quarter points to take a 35-25 lead to the break and never looked back.

Keegan Martinez added 14 for Belmont, while the Golden Eagles were paced by 11 points from Brendan Baldi and 10 from Mark Uicker.

With the win, the Red Raiders improve to 12-1 on the season and sit tied for first in D-III with Kearsarge. Gilford falls to 11-2 and is now fourth.

Newmarket earns big win over Portsmouth Christian

NEWMARKET, NH – Newmarket and visiting Portsmouth Christian Academy entered Tuesday nights contest tied for 4th in the Division IV standings with identical 8-3 records. The host Mules jumped out to a 21-16 first-half lead and hung on for a pivotal 59-55 win over the Eagles. 

Jaron LaBranche led all scorers with a game-high 21 points for Newmarket, while Matt Napelatano and Nick Minutelli chipped in with 13 and 11 points, respectively. 

PCA was paced by Truman Smith’s 20 points. Cai Summers added 15 points, including the 1000th of his career and Jackson Malone tallied 10. 

Summers becomes just the sixth player in school history and the second boys player in program history to reach the milestone.

With the win, Newmarket improves to 9-3 and has sole possession of 4th place in the standings. PCA falls to 8-4 and drops to 6th.

Overtime barrage leads Gorham past Colebrook

COLEBROOK, NH – Gorham exploded for 20 points in overtime to defeat host Colebrook, 59-50, on Tuesday night. 

Isaac Langlois scored 19 points, seven in overtime to lead the Huskies, while Max Grondin added his season-high 14 points.

Jackson Weir (27 points) and Dart Caulier (14) combined for 41 of the Mohawks’ 50 in the loss. 

Gorham gets back in the win column and improves to 6-6 on the season, while Colebrook drops to 4-8.

Colebrook cruises past Gorham

COLEBROOK, NH – Colebrook scored 21 first-quarter points to fly past visiting Gorham, 65-19, on Tuesday night. 

Haley Rossitto tallied a game-high 26 points, while Lexi Santamaria scored 16 of her own for the Mohawks. Lily Gorban led the way with seven points for the Huskies. 

Colebrook improves to 10-2 after the win, while Gorham drops to 4-8.

Colby-Sawyer downs JWU, earns first league win

NEW LONDON, NH – Colby-Sawyer eased past visiting Johnson & Wales, 75-57, on Saturday at the Hogan Sports Center.

The Chargers were paced by 19 points from A.J. Mutiganzi and 18 from Bryson Jenkins. Chaz Cullum (11 points) and Exeter’s Brady Rogers (10) also chipped in with double digits for CSC.

With the win, Colby-Sawyer improves to 3-15 overall and 1-6 in Great Northeast Athletic Conference play.

SNHU sweeps New Haven in Northeast-10 action

MANCHESTER, NH – Southern New Hampshire completed the sweep of visiting New Haven in Northeast-10 Conference play on Tuesday night. The SNHU women were victorious 64-58, while the the Penmen men won 74-67.

On the women’s side, Meghan Gordon paced the Penmen with 17 points. With the win, SNHU improves to 9-9 overall and 5-7 in NE10 play.

For the men, Royce Williams poured in a career-high 26 points to lead the Penmen to the victory, while Kurtis Henderson (11 points) and Jordan Brathwaite (10) both netted double-digits as well.

SNHU moves to 12-6 overall and 8-4 in league action.
