Epping downs Portsmouth Christian in D-IV battle

EPPING, NH – In a Division IV matchup between two 1-1 teams, host Epping hung on for a tight 54-51 win against visiting Portsmouth Christian on Wednesday night.

Blake Snyder (22) and Henry Hogkins (20) combined for 42 of the Blue Devils’ 56 points in the victory.

The Eagles were paced by Cai Summers who tallied 13 points. Truman Smith also scored in double-figures adding 10 of his own.

Epping adds their second win, bring their record to 2-1 while PCA falls to 1-2.

Farmington defense stifles Epping

FARMINGTON, NH – Farmington held Epping to just 14 first-half points and rolled to a 58-42 victory over Epping on Tuesday night in The Jungle.

The Tigers controlled the game from the onset as they held the Blue Devils to just one first-quarter field goal and led 15-4 after one frame.

FHS was led by 18 points from Demery Hadges, while Noah Elwell and Lucas Watson added 16 and 10, respectively. Epping was paced by 18 points from Blake Snyder, who had 10 points in the 4th quarter alone.

With the victory, Farmington improves to 2-0 on the season, while Epping falls to 1-1.

Farmington eases past visiting Epping

FARMINGTON, NH – The Farmington Tigers used a 49-0 first half to ease to a 66-8 victory over visiting Epping on Tuesday night.

Farmington’s Madi Ricker led all scorers with 20 points, while Zoey Johnson (16) and Ryleigh Hogan (14) both chipped in with double digits as well.

With the victory, the Tigers improve to 2-0 on the young season and head to Littleton on Friday to take on the Crusaders. Epping falls to 0-2 on the season and hosts Portsmouth Christian Academy next Wednesday.

Profile eases past Epping to quarterfinals

Top-seeded Profile put together a dominant performance in the first round of the NHIAA Division IV Boys Basketball State Tournament as the Patriots eased to a 79-21 victory over No. 16 Epping on Monday night.

With the win, Profile advances to the quarterfinals where the Patriots will play host to #8 Portsmouth Christian on Thursday.

Senior Josh Robie poured in a game-high 34 points, including 14 in the 3rd quarter alone to pace the Patriots. Alex Leslie (20) and Cayden Wakeham (14) also netted double-digits for Profile.

Blake Snyder scored 15 of the Blue Devils 21 points.

Farmington survives at Epping

After building a 15-point halftime lead, Farmington scored just 11 points in the 2nd half and hung on for a 35-31 victory at Epping on Saturday night.

The Tigers were paced by 15 points apiece from Zoey Johnson and Madi Ricker. The Blue Devils were led by 10 points from Autumn Loving.

With the win, Farmington improves to 12-4 on the season, while Epping falls to 8-6.

Next up, the 4th-place Tigers hit the road to take on 3rd place Newmarket on Tuesday.

Farmington pulls away at Epping

After playing even in the first quarter, Farmington pulled away from Epping to come away with a 59-38 road win on Saturday night.

The Tigers and Blue Devils were knotted at 9-9 after 8 minutes of action before Farmington reeled of a 19-point second quarter to take a 12-point lead to the break.

The second half was much of the same as the Tigers rolled to a 21-point victory.

Farmington was led by a trio of double-digit scorers: Demery Hadges (14 points), Aiden Place (12) and Preston Berko (11). Epping was paced by a game-high 16 points from Henry Hodgkins.

The Tigers move to 13-3 on the season and sit in 4th place in the Division IV standings, while Epping falls to 5-10.

Epping defense stymies Raymond

Division IV Epping held D-II Raymond to just 27 points en route to a 43-27 victory on Monday night.

Leading the way for the Blue Devils was Laney McAniff and Anabelle Shumway with 10 points apiece. The Rams were paced by Sophie Huynh’s game-high 12 points.

With the win, Epping improves to 5-3, while Raymond falls to 0-7.

Duffaut leads Ram past Epping

Behind a game-high 25 points from Dre Duffaut, Division III Raymond went on the road and defeated D-IV Epping, 51-43, on Monday night.

The Rams started strong, leading 16-7 after one and 32-18 at the break, and hung on for the win. The Blue Devils were paced by 15 points from Henry Hodgkins and 14 from Blake Snyder.

With the win, Raymond improves to 3-3 on the season, while Epping falls to 3-7.
