Rivier comes up short vs. Colby

NASHUA, N.H. – Rivier dropped a non-conference matchup on Saturday afternoon, falling to Colby College, 77–67, at the Muldoon Center. The loss moves the Raiders to 2–2 on the season, while Colby opened its slate at 1–0.

Colby opened the game on a 7–0 run, but Rivier responded with early scoring from senior Rob Baguidy (Goffstown, NH/Goffstown HS), sophomore Steph Barnes, and first-year Daylen Dalcour to steady the offense and close the gap to 13–9. Baguidy continued to attack the lane midway through the first half, helping the Raiders briefly take their first lead of the afternoon.

Rivier trailed just 33–31 at halftime after holding the Mules to three made three-pointers in the opening 20 minutes.

The Raiders maintained momentum early in the second half behind drives from sophomore Matt Youngquist and senior Izaiah Shaw-Glen, and a fast-break finish from junior Theo Briscoe IV gave Rivier a 45–44 advantage. The teams traded baskets over the next several minutes, with Shaw-Glen pacing the offense with eight second-half points to keep Rivier within 65–62.

Colby responded with a decisive 12–3 run late in the half, converting a three-pointer and three inside scores to pull ahead 77–65 before closing out the win at the free-throw line.

Baguidy led Rivier with 20 points, adding eight rebounds, five assists, and three steals. Shaw-Glen followed with 16 points to go along with seven boards and four assists, while Dalcour added 12 points from the frontcourt.

Rivier returns to action on Tuesday, Nov. 18, traveling to take on the University of New England at 7 p.m.

Exeter soars past Goffstown to D-I quarters

EXETER, NH – No. 5 Exeter started and ended hot en route to an 82-63 win over No. 12 Goffstown in Division I first round action on Wednesday night.

Nate McNeff scored 11 points in the opening frame, combining with running-mate Nikolas Greco to score 19 in the period.

The Grizzlies would hang tough throughout, cutting the home advantage to seven in the fourth quarter, but the 24 points in the quarter by the Blue Hawks proved to be too much.

McNeff would finish with a game-high 24, while Greco added 22. Tyler Ream (17) and Jack Thibodeau (12) would combine for 29 points as well.

Tyler Dionne paced the scoring with 14 points, while Noah Durham added 12 for the Grizzlies.

Exeter will go on the road to take on No. 4 Nashua South in quarterfinal action on Saturday. Goffstown ends its season with a 9-10 record.

Reis drops 30, Portsmouth clips Goffstown

PORTSMOUTH, NH – Isaiah Reis poured in a game-high 30 points as Portsmouth ended the regular season with a hard-fought 67-63 victory over visiting Goffstown on Tuesday night.

The Clippers finish the regular season at 15-3, tied for first, and will be the No. 2 seed for the upcoming Division I state tournament. Goffstown falls to 9-9 and will be the No. 12 seed.

Derek Swartz added 22 for Portsmouth. The Grizzlies were led by 18 points from G Santos, 17 from O’Brien and 12 from I Santos.

Goffstown closes out Spaulding

GOFFSTOWN, NH – With the game tied at 45-45 after three quarters of play, Goffstown closed out the fourth quarter and came away with a 67-57 victory over visiting Spaulding on Friday night.

The Grizzles were led by 20 points from Tyler Dionne, 18 by Isaiah Santos and 11 from Gio Santos. The Raiders got 20 points from Marcel Rose.

Goffstown finishes the regular season on Tuesday at Portsmouth. Spaulding travels to Bedford on Tuesday for their last game of the season, as well.

Goffstown survives Bishop Guertin

GOFFSTOWN, NH – Goffstown outscored Bishop Guertin 19-16 in the fourth-quarter and held on for a 61-58 win on Friday night.

It was a close battle throughout that saw the game tied at 42-42 entering the fourth quarter.

Gio Santos would be the difference maker for the Grizzlies, scoring 10 of his team-high 15 in the fourth quarter. Tyler Dionne, Liam O’Brien and Isaiah Santos all scored 12.

Connor McGowen paced the Cardinals scoring with a game-high 20, while running mate Luca Fabrizio added 16, including five from distance.

Goffstown jumps to 7-6 with the win, while BG falls to 7-7.

Bedford rolls past Goffstown

GOFFSTOWN, NH – Bedford scored 30 fourth-quarter points en route to 90-60 win over Goffstown on Saturday afternoon. 

For the Bulldogs, Logan O’Connell led the way with a game-high 23 points, with Landon Ellsmore adding 18 and Luke O’Connell adding 11.

On the Grizzlies’ side, Noah Durham scored his season-high 19 points, with runningmate Tyler Dionne scoring 11 of his own. 

Bedford wins its fifth straight to improve to 10-2 on the season, Goffstown drops to 5-6.

Bedford eases past Goffstown, moves to 12-0

GOFFSTOWN, N.H – Bedford jumped out to early led on the road and cruised to a 53-11 win over Goffstown on Saturday afternoon. 

Kate Allard tallied 19 points to pace the Bulldogs, while Mel McCarthy added 11 of her own. For the Grizzlies, Jocelyn O’Meara scored four.

Bedford stays perfect at 12-0, while Goffstown falls to 2-8.

Goffstown snaps skid,defeats Manchester Memorial

MANCHESTER, NH – Goffstown went on the road and defeated Manchester Memorial, 53-36, on Friday night.

Jenna Shannon knocked down five threes to lead the Grizzlies with a game-high 15 points. Reece Still added 10 for Goffstown.

Avery Jenkins paced Memorial with 10 points.

With the win, the Grizzlies snapped a four-game skid and improved to 2-7 on the season. The Crusaders fall to 1-9.

Paquette pours in 34, including 1000th, to lead Londonderry

LONDONDERRY, NH – Mason Paquette poured in a game-high 34 points, including the 1000th of his career, to lead Londonderry to a hard-fought 75-66 victory over visiting Goffstown on Tuesday night.

This was a one possession game for three quarters and the Lancers were able to break away in the fourth. 

Paquette entered the game just two points shy of the 1000th-point milestone and ended up putting on a show, scoring 34 points on the night including six three-pointers. Matt Luongo also added 14 points to the total and Kiet Tatten scored 12 for the Lancers. 

Goffstown had four double digit scorers. They were led by Gio Santos who put up 22 points, while Isaiah Santos, Tyler Dionne and Noah Durham scored 10 apiece. 

With the win, the Lancers climb over .500 and move to 5-4 on the year. The Grizzlies move to 4-5 on the season following the loss.

Sullivan nets 1000th, leads Lancers past Grizzlies

GOFFSTOWN, NH – Sammie Sullivan scored the 1000th point of her Londonderry career in a big 78-31 win for the Lancers over Goffstown on Tuesday night.

Sullivan entered the game needing just 14 points to reach the 1000-point plateau and she led all scorers with 22 points, reaching the milestone in the 2nd quarter. Sullivan was helped out by Mia Giampa who had 18 points, as well as Gemma Murray with 14. 

The Grizzlies were paced by Morghan Dodge who had 12 points on 4 three-point field goals. Meredith Winterburn also got into double digits on the night with 10 points. 

With the win, Londonderry continues their excellent start to the season and moves to 7-0, while Goffstown falls to 1-7 with the loss.
