Bedfords blows past Bishop Guertin

BEDFORD, NH – The Bedford Bulldogs earned their third straight victory by 30+ points as they defeated visiting Bishop Guertin, 64-32, Friday night.

The Bulldogs, headlined by Kate Allard (16 points) and Sarah Muir (14), had eight total scorers in the win.

Kayden Rioux had her season-high with 18 points to lead the Cardinals.

With the win, Bedford stays undefeated at 3-0, while BG suffers their first loss and falls to 1-1.

Woodsville hands Littleton first loss of the season

WOODSVILLE, NH – Devin Sabina and Cowan Kimball combined for 36 points as Woodsville defeated visiting Littleton, 58-38, on Friday night.

The two North Country rivals played a closely contested first quarter with the host Engineers holding a two-point edge, 13-11. Woodsville then reeled off a 16-9 second quarter and a 15-6 third quarter to pull away.

Sabina led all scorers with 21 points for Woodsville, while Kimball added 15. In the win, the Engineers improve to 4-0.

Littleton, suffers their first loss of the season to fall to 3-1, was led by 10 points from Ryan Mahy.

Littleton tops Woodsville in North Country showdown

WOODSVILLE, NH – Littleton went on the road and earned a hard-fought 41-36 victory at Woodsville on Friday night.

The two North Country rivals battled from start to finish. The Crusaders jumped out to a 9-4 lead after one quarter of play, but the Engineers cut the lead to three at halftime and to one after three quarters of play.

Leah Poulton led the way for Littleton with 13 points, while Ella Horsch added 11.

Woodsville was paced by a game-high 15 points from Paige Royer and Eliza Wagstaff chipped in with 10.

With the win, Littleton improves to a perfect 4-0 on the season, while Woodsville falls to 3-2.

Portsmouth downs rival Exeter unbeaten match-up

PORTSMOUTH, NH – The Friday before Christmas break featured a battle between two undefeated Division I teams and Portsmouth emerged victorious, earning a 57-50 win against visiting Exeter.

The Clippers were led by Derek Swartz and Isaiah Reis, each with 17 points. Ryan Swartz and Finn McCauley added to the total, netting 10 apiece.

Nate McNeff poured in a game high 21 for the Blue Hawks.

Portsmouth goes into the break 3-0 while Exeter drops to 2-1.

Bow starts and finishes strong at Coe-Brown

NORTHWOOD, NH – Bow started and finished strong on Friday night as the Falcons went on the road and handed Coe-Brown its first loss of the season, 48-31.

Bow opened the game with a 14-5 first quarter and later closed out the game with a 16-7 final frame to seal the win.

In a battle of undefeated teams, the Falcons come out on top thanks to a game-high 15 points from Peyton Vaughn and 11 from Gabby Tarsa.

The Bears were paced by Emma LaPierre’s 9 points.

In defeat, Coe-Brown falls to 2-1.

Milford doubles up Kingswood on the road

WOLFEBORO, NH – Milford raced out to a 24-5 lead after one quarter of play and never looked back on Friday night as they cruised to a 60-30 win at Kingswood.

The Spartan trio of Ellie Nassy (15 points), Shea Hansen (13) and Avery Fuller (12) paced Milford to the victory and a 2-0 start on the young season.

The Knights, who fall to 0-3, were led by Sophia Nichols’ 8 points.

Langlois nets 36, leads Gorham in victory

GORHAM, NH – Division IV leading scorer Isaac Langlois notched 30+ points for the second time this year with a game-high 36 to lead the Huskies to a 59-52 win over visiting Moultonborough on Thursday night.

Langlois’ running mate Jack Saladino added 10 of his own for Gorham.

Brode Bacon dropped 20 points for the Panthers

Gorham has now won three straight and improves to 3-1, while Moultonborough falls to 2-2.

Strong start fuels PCA past Franklin

DOVER, NH – Portsmouth Christian Academy defeated Franklin 63-54 on Friday night at home, securing their second win of the season.

The Golden Tornadoes couldn’t stop the Eagle’s momentum after PCA opened up the game with a 25-7 first quarter.

The Eagles had three high scorers on the night as Cai Summers netted 24 points, Zealand Marquis had 17 and Zack Beal with 12. Nate Holmes poured in a game-high 28 points for the Golden Tornadoes, followed by Harrison Kaplan with 13.

With the win Portsmouth Christian moves onto 2-2 while Franklin falls to 2-3.

Freshman Hill-Goodell drops 34, leads Monadnock to win

SWANZEY, NH – Freshman Sumner Hill-Goodell poured in a game-high 34 points to pace Monadnock to a 68-53 win over visiting Hillsboro-Deering on Thursday night.

Kobe Kidney and Tucker Johns both netted 12 points apiece for the Huskies as well, with Owen Gunseth tallying 10. 

In the loss, the Hillcats were paced by Ethan Franklin (19 points) and Alex Crowe (14).

Monadnock moves onto 2-1 with the win, while Hillsboro-Deering falls to 0-3 on the young season.

PCA hands Franklin first loss of the season

DOVER, NH – Portsmouth Christian defended its home court on Friday night securing a 53-30 win against Franklin.

The Eagles were led by Ava Buchanan (21 points), followed by Jaela Stockbower with 11. Kourtney Kaplan of Franklin had a night putting up 24 points in the loss for the Golden Tornadoes.

Portsmouth Christian takes home their third win of the season now standing 3-1. Franklin takes their first loss of the year, now standing 4-1.
