Littleton comes-from-behind to down Farmington

LITTLETON, NH – Visiting Farmington came out of the gates hot, opening up an 8-point lead in the first quarter, but Littleton clawed its way back and came away with a 50-43 victory on Friday night.

The Tigers held a 36-34 lead going into the fourth quarter, but the host Crusaders closed things out with a 16-7 final stanza to come away with the victory.

Littleton was paced by 15 points from Daven Reagey and 13 from his brother Sam Reagey. Farmington was led by 13 points from Lucas Watson and 10 from Keltin Moulton all coming in the first half.

With the win, Littleton improves to 2-0 on the season, while Farmington falls to 2-1.

Littleton locks down Farmington, cruises to big win

LITTLETON, NH – In a rematch of the Division IV semifinals from a season ago, Littleton held Farmington to 10 first-half points and rolled to a 60-31 victory on Friday night.

The Crusaders limited the Tigers to just four points in the first quarter and six points in the second and took a 27-10 lead to the break. The third quarter again belonged to Littleton as they outscored FHS 19-10.

Ella Horsch led all scorers with a game-high 16 points for the Crusaders, while Addison Hadlock (13 points) and JuJu Bromley (10). The Tigers were paced by 13 points from Shaylee DiPrizio and seven from Anna Cardinal.

With the win, Littleton improves to 2-0 on the season, while Farmington suffers its first loss and falls to 2-1.

No. 12 Keene State handles Plymouth State

KEENE, NH – In an intrastate match-up, No. 12 Keene State flexed their Division III muscle with a 93-63 victory over Plymouth State on Wednesday night at Spaulding Gym.

The Owls were led by 23 points from Octavio Brito, while Wesley Odiase (16), Mason Jean Baptiste (11) and Spencer Aronson (10) all netted double-figures as well. The Panthers were paced by 19 points from Torran Bosworth and 15 from Kevin Newton Delgado. Eli Swanson (11) and Kevin Henry (10) also registered double-digits in the scoring column.

With the win, Keene State improves to 5-1 overall and 1-0 in Little East play. PSU falls to 6-3 and 1-2 in LEC action.

Keene State duo paces Owls past Plymouth State

KEENE, NH – Sophomore Brynn Rautiola (Conant) and freshman Kiley Bundy (Stevens) combined for 46 points as Keene State cruised past visiting Plymouth State, 87-49, on Wednesday night at Spaulding Gym.

Valerie Luizzi knocked down a three-pointer just 19 seconds into the ball game and the Owls never looked back. KSC led wire-to-wire to come away with the victory.

Luizzi (12) and Ruby Dasaro (10) also chipped in with double-digits for the Owls, who improve to 4-5 overall and 1-0 in Little East action.

The Panthers were led by eight points apiece from Raegan Peck and Hailey Malozzi. With the loss, PSU falls to 2-8 on the season, 0-3 in LEC play.

Langlois drops 28, propels Gorham past Groveton

GORHAM, NH – Isaac Langlois netted 28 points, including 14 in the 3rd quarter alone with four threes, to lead Gorham past Groveton, 58-44, on Tuesday night.

Max Grondin (12), Jack Saladino (9) and Mason Roberge (9) did the rest of the scoring for the Huskies who even their record at 1-1.

Groveton was led by 19 points from Hunter Parks and 10 from Dylan Simino. The Eagles fall to 1-1.

Whiting’s 22 points leads Groveton past Gorham

GORHAM, NH – Groveton used a 17-2 first quarter to cruise to a 60-19 road victory at Gorham on Tuesday night.

Junior Delaney Whiting poured in a game-high 22 points, including five three-pointers, while
Aspen Clermont (14) and Mylee Kenison (11) both added double-digits as well for the Eagles.

Gorham was led by 8 points from Lily Gorban.

With the victory, Groveton improves to 2-0 on the young season, while the Huskies fall to 0-2.

Brewster jumps to No. 5 in latest ESPN poll

After knocking off the No. 2 team in the country last Friday, Brewster Academy has jumped seven spots in the latest ESPN High School Top 25 Poll and currently ranks 5th in the nation.

The Bobcats had a pair of wins on the weekend at the Sunshine Classic in Montverde, Fla., including a convincing 67-50 win over No. 2 Long Island Lutheran (NY). Brewster then handled Orangeville Academy 65-46 on Saturday.

Tonight’s Brewster game has been cancelled, but the Bobcats return to action this weekend at the NBA Cup in Las Vegas as they take on No. 17 AZ Compass (AZ) on Friday and then a tilt with No. 1 Montverde on Sunday. Both games can been live on the NBA TV app.

Doty drops 29, paces Hinsdale over Mascenic

HINSDALE, NH – Freshman Gemma Doty poured in a game-high 29 points to lead Hinsdale past Mascenic, 42-29, on Tuesday night.

In her first two games of her high school career, Doty is averaging 28.0 PPG after scoring 27 in the Pacers’ opener last week.

Hannah Cargill was the high scorer for the Vikings with 11 points.

With the win, Hinsdale improves to 2-0 on the season, while Mascenic loses its season-opener.

Dixon’s 33 points paces Hindsale over Mascenic

HINSDALE, NH – Connor Dixon poured in a game-high 33 points to lead Hinsdale to a 64-57 victory over visiting Mascenic on Tuesday night.

The Pacers led by five after one quarter of action, 15-10, before reeling off 29 second-quarter points to take a commanding 44-25 lead to the locker room at the half. Hinsdale didn’t look back.

John Winter also added 16 points for the Pacers. Leading the way for the Vikings was Lucas Leroux with 22 and Chuck Phillips with 15.

With the win, Hinsdale improves to 2-0 on the season, while Mascenic falls to 0-2.
