Central’s Tyler-Fulse beats the buzzer

With the score tied at 68, Manchester Central’s Dawon Tyler-Fulse beat the buzzer to give the visiting Little Green a come-from-behind victory over Goffstown on Tuesday night.

Central trailed by seven, 50-43, entering the final stanza before tying the game to set up the dramatics for Tyler-Fulse.

The Little Green were led by 20 points from Izaya Diaz and 10 from Kaedin Gagne. Goffstown was paced by 14 points apiece from Tyler Dionne and Cam Hujsak, while Gio Santos added 12.

With the win, Central improves to 1-2 on the season, while Goffstown falls to 2-1.

Clippers cruise past Lancers

Portsmouth held visiting Londonderry to just four first-quarter points and cruised to a 74-50 win on Tuesday night.

The Clippers were paced by a trio of double-digit scorers: Isaiah Reis (13), Princeton Daniel (10) and Miles de longh (10). The Lancers were led by 12 points from Jameson Seaman.

Under first-year head coach Tyrece Gibbs, a former UNH hoops star, Portsmouth improves to 2-0 with the win, while Londonderry falls to 0-3.

Hadges leads Farmington past Franklin

FRANKLIN – Behind a career-high 22 points from Demery Hadges, Farmington used a 16-3 second quarter to propel the Tigers to a 62-52 win at Franklin on Tuesday night.

The Tigers started slow as they trailed 14-12 at the end of the opening frame before getting out to a comfortable lead in the second.

Farmington was led Hadges 22 points, including four three-pointers, and 13 from Shawn Murphy. Franklin featured a trio of double-digit scorers: Zeke McCoy (18), Harrison Kaplan (34) and Jack Van Polen (11).

With the win, Farmington improves to 4-2 on the season, while Franklin falls to 1-3.

Kaplan leads Franklin past Farmington

FRANKLIN – Kourtney Kaplan poured in a game-high 17 points to lead Franklin past visiting Farmington, 46-35, on Tuesday night.

The Golden Tornadoes held the Tigers to six first-quarter points and took a two point lead to the break, 17-15. Franklin opened things up in the third frame, outscoring the Tigers 16-7 to take a commanding 33-22 lead.

Lily Cornell (11) and Savaughna Slocom (9) also made significant contributions for the home team. Farmington was paced by 10 points apiece from Shaylee DiPrizio and Zoey Johnson, while Anna Cardinal added 8.

With the win, Franklin improves to 2-3 on the season, while the Tigers fall to 4-2. Farmington was playing without junior Madi Ricker.

CCA makes D-II statement with 23-point win over Laconia

CONCORD – The Concord Christian girls made a statement in Division II on Monday night with a dominant 61-38 victory over visiting Laconia.

The Kingsmen are back-to-back state champions, having won the D-IV crown in 2022 and the D-III title a season ago. It appears their sights are set on making a run in D-II after the big win over the 2023 D-II semifinalist Sachems.

It was a back-and-forth affair in the opening minutes before CCA got dialed in and executed well on both ends of the court. Kayden Rioux poured in six first-half threes to pace the Kingsmen to a 13-point lead, 33-20, at the break.

The third quarter belonged to Emma Smith and Lilli Carlile as the duo combined for all 19 of the Kingsmen points and blew the game open.

Rioux tallied a game-high 23 points to lead all scorers, while Smith (16) and Carlile (19) both netted double-digits as well.

The Sachems were paced by Macy Swormsted’s 13 points, 10 of which came in the first half, while her running mate Mekhia Burton was plagued by foul trouble and held to just six points on the night.

With the win, the Kingsmen improve to 3-0 on the season, while Laconia falls to 2-1.

The Bash returns Dec. 26-30

Ball 603 will once again be bringing you official coverage of New Hampshire’s largest holiday basketball tournament with the 44th Annual Mike Lee Holiday Basketball Bash presented by Dana’s Collision Repair at Farmington High School on Dec. 26-30.

The five-day event features 24 teams from two states, all four NHIAA divisions and a whopping 43 games. We will be bringing you live streams of all the action, along with photo coverage and video highlights of select games.

Bedford breezes past Memorial

The Bedford girls held host Manchester Memorial to just 11 points over the final three quarters to breeze to a 71-22 victory on Friday night.

The Bulldogs were led by a game-high 21 points from Lyla Stein, with Sarah Muir and Kate Allard chipping in with 10 points apiece. The Crusaders were paced by 9 points from Torle Adumene.

With the win, Bedford improves to 2-0 on the season, while Memorial falls to 0-2.

SNHU women cruise past Bridgeport

The Southern New Hampshire women improved to 6-2 on the season with a 73-47 victory over visiting Bridgeport on Saturday in Manchester.

The Penmen were paced by 21 points from Jess Knight and 17 from Adriana Timberlake. Freshman Ava Winterburn (Goffstown ’23) knocked down two triples en route to a career-high six points for the 2023 NHIAA Division I Player of the Year.

Trio leads Gilford past visiting Newfound

Henry Sleeper (24 points), Cooper Perkins (21) and Logan Grant (20) combined for 65 points for lead Gilford to a 78-48 victory over visiting Newfound on Friday night.

The Bears were led by 16 points from Vinnie Defosses. The Golden Eagles improve to 3-0 with the victory, while Newfound fall to 1-2.
