Gorham cruises to quarterfinals past Mascenic

GORHAM, NH – No. 5 Gorham scored 20+ points in the first and third quarters to down No. 12 Mascenic 62-42 in Division IV first round play on Monday night.

The Huskies started hot, scoring 21 in the first quarter. After going into the half with a 28-20 advantage, Gorham would score 23 in the third to put away the visiting Vikings. 

Isaac Langlois tallied 22 points to lead the way for the home side, including 11 in the third. Jack Saladino added 11 of his own. 

Lucas Leroux scored 14 points to pace the scoring for the visitors, with Chuck Phillips adding 11. 

No. 5 Gorham will travel to No. 4 Newmarket in quarterfinal play on Thursday night, while Mascenic finishes their season with a 9-10 record.

PCA pours it on in fourth quarter, downs Mascenic

DOVER, NH – Portsmouth Christian scored 25 fourth-quarter points en route to a 53-38 win over Mascenic on Wednesday night.

Ava Buchanan paced the Eagles scoring with 18 points, while Jaela Stockbower (13) and Zuri Petlick (12) also scored in double-figures.

Sienne Gregory led the Vikings with 14 points and Jordan Shuler tallied 11 of her own.

With the win, PCA jumps to 11-5 on the season. Mascenic falls to 4-12.

Epping downs visiting Mascenic

EPPING, NH – Host Epping defeated Mascenic, 55-41, on Monday night.

The Blue Devils were led by 18 points from Henry Hodgkins, 14 from Blake Snyder and 13 from Cam Kavanaugh.

The Vikings were paced by a game-high 19 points from L Laroux.

With the win, Epping improves to 7-8 on the season, while Mascenic falls to 7-9.

Doty drops 29, paces Hinsdale over Mascenic

HINSDALE, NH – Freshman Gemma Doty poured in a game-high 29 points to lead Hinsdale past Mascenic, 42-29, on Tuesday night.

In her first two games of her high school career, Doty is averaging 28.0 PPG after scoring 27 in the Pacers’ opener last week.

Hannah Cargill was the high scorer for the Vikings with 11 points.

With the win, Hinsdale improves to 2-0 on the season, while Mascenic loses its season-opener.

Dixon’s 33 points paces Hindsale over Mascenic

HINSDALE, NH – Connor Dixon poured in a game-high 33 points to lead Hinsdale to a 64-57 victory over visiting Mascenic on Tuesday night.

The Pacers led by five after one quarter of action, 15-10, before reeling off 29 second-quarter points to take a commanding 44-25 lead to the locker room at the half. Hinsdale didn’t look back.

John Winter also added 16 points for the Pacers. Leading the way for the Vikings was Lucas Leroux with 22 and Chuck Phillips with 15.

With the win, Hinsdale improves to 2-0 on the season, while Mascenic falls to 0-2.

Derryfield defeats Mascenic

Led by 16 points apiece from Jack Krasnof and Zach Martin, Derryfield defeated visiting Mascenic, 68-40, on Friday night in Manchester.

Alex Comire (13) and Billy Gardener (10) also netted double-digits for the Cougars. Mascenic was paced by a game-high 21 points from Leroux.

With the win, Derryfield improves to 14-1 on the season and currently sits in second place in the Division IV standings. The Vikings vall to 5-10.

Holy Family hands Mascenic first loss of season

The Holy Family girls defeated visiting Mascenic, 30-22, on Thursday night in Manchester.

The Griffins were led by a game-high 12 points from Ryenn Pedone as they snapped the Vikings three-game win streak to open the season.

With the win, Holy Family improves to 1-2 on the season, while Mascenic falls to 3-1.

Crusaders cruise to semifinals

Top-seeded Littleton came to play in the quarterfinal round as the Crusaders jumped out to 24-4 lead over #8 Mascenic and never looked back, cruising to a 54-36 home win on Friday night.

Littleton advances to the semifinals where it will be a rematch of the 2022 semis as they take on #4 Woodsville.
