Eighth-seeded Laconia survived a scare from #9 Coe-Brown, 43-42, on Tuesday night in the preliminary round of the NHIAA Division II Boys Basketball State Tournament. Nolin Stevens led the Sachems with a game-high 16 points, while the Bears were paced by 12 points from Brady Kouchoukos. Laconia advances to take on top-ranked Souheagan.
The 2022 NHIAA Division I Girls Basketball State Tournament bracket has been released. The Pinkerton Astros are the top seed for the tournament and receive a preliminary round bye along with #2 Bedford. Preliminary action begins on Tuesday.

Milford went on the road and defeated Hollis-Brookline, 65-52, on Thursday night. The Spartans close out the 2021-22 regular-season on a four-game win streak and improve to 8-10, while the Cavaliers fall to 2-16.
Lebanon went on the road to win its 15th-straight on Wednesday night as the Raiders defeated Bishop Brady, 75-51, in Concord. The Raiders were led by a game-high 25 points from Jackson Stone and 19 from Braeden Falzarano, while the Giants were paced by 18 points from Ivan Yen and 10 from Gumee Mbata.
With the win, Lebanon improves to 15-1 and sets up a regular-season finale showdown with ConVal (14-3) on Friday night. Brady falls to 9-6 on the season and had its four-gam win streak snapped.
Concord Christian’s Brody Frink scored just three points in the first quarter of action versus Derryfield on Wednesday night, but the freshman phenom poured it on after that as he netted a game-high 35 points to lead the Kingsmen to a key 72-63 win over the visiting Cougars.
Senior Isaac Jarvis added 23 points for CCA, who improves to 9-1 on the season and sits tied for second in the Division IV standings. Derryfield was paced by 23 points from freshman Thomas Ferdinando and Jack Krasnof added 20 as well. The Cougars fall to 6-4 on the season and have dropped three of their last four outings.
