Bedford cruises past Hanover, sits atop D-I standings

The Bedford girls improved to a Division-I best 6-0 on the season with a 47-17 victory over D-II Hanover on Saturday.

The Bulldogs were led by a game-high 13 points from Kate Allard and 12 from Lana McCarthy. The Bears were paced by Sydney McLaughlin’s 10 points.

Hanover suffers first loss of the season and falls to 5-1.

Crusaders handle Eagles on the road

Visiting Littleton improved to a perfect 7-0 on the season with a 65-54 win at Groveton on Friday night.

A trio of double-digit scorers paced the Crusaders: Dre Akines (16), Kayden Hoskins (16) and Sam Reagey (13). For the Eagles, Luke Shannon pumped in a game-high 20 points, with 11 points from Ashton Kenison and 10 from Hunter Parks.

In defeat, Groveton falls to 4-3.

Littleton remains perfect, knocks off unbeaten Groveton

In a battle between the final two remaining undefeated teams in Division IV, Littleton went on the road and earned a huge 39-34 victory at Groveton on Friday night.

The Crusaders held the Eagles to just two first quarter points as the visiting team jumped out to a quick 11-2 lead after the first eight minutes and later led 22-11 at halftime. The host Eagles would claw their way back in the second half before falling by five points.

Littleton was led by 14 points from Ella Horsch and 10 from Addison Hadlock. Groveton was paced by a game-high 16 points from Julia Chappell.

With the win, the Crusaders sit solo atop the division with a 7-0 mark, while the Eagles are now tied for second with Woodsville at 7-1.

Gilford comes from behind to down White Mountains

Gilford trailed by nine points entering the fourth quarter, but the host Golden Eagles closed the game on a 15-4 run to earn a 46-44 come-from-behind victory over visiting White Mountains on Friday night.

The Golden Eagles were led by 16 points from Logan Grant and 10 from Henry Sleeper. The Spartans were paced by a game-high 20 points from Kasen Smith and 10 from Avery Woodburn.

With the victory, Gilford improves to 5-1 on the season, while White Mountains falls to 5-3.

Gorham gets going early, cruises past Moultonborough

Gorham jumped out to a quick 25-8 lead after the first quarter of play and cruised to a 71-48 win over visiting Moultonborough on Friday night.

The Huskies used balanced scoring in the victory as they had four double-digits scorers: Isaac Langlois (19 points), Brendan Saladino (15), Jack Saladino (15) and Max Grondin (15). The Panthers were paced by 11 points apiece from Brodie Bacon and Ethan Tilton.

With the win, Gorham improves to 5-3 on the season, while Moultonborough falls to 3-4.
