Third quarter streak leads Farmington past Franklin

Leading by one at the half, 22-21, Farmington connected on five three-pointers in the third quarter to take a 17-point lead and hung on for a 51-44 win at Franklin on Monday night.

The Tigers were led by a team-high 15 points from sophomore Madi Ricker. Teammate Makayla Lapanne (10 points) also chipped in with double figures, while Jaelyn Prosper netted nine, all on three point field goals in the third. The Golden Tornadoes were paced by a game-high 16 points from Lily Cornell and Kourtney Kaplan added 13 of her own.

The win snapped a two-game skid for Farmington, who evens its record at 3-3. Franklin drops to 1-3 on the early season.

Pinkerton tops Alvirne

Pinkerton jumped out to an early 15-7 lead after one quarter of play and never looked back as the Astros rolled to a 64-44 road win at Alvirne on Friday night.

Jackson Marshall netted a game-high 18 points for Pinkerton, while Tyrone Chinn chipped in with 10 of his own to help push the Astros to 2-0 on the young season. The Broncos (0-2) were paced by 15 points from Sam Dewitt.

St. Thomas hangs on for the win at Inter-Lakes

St. Thomas jumped out to an early 12-point lead through one quarter of play and hung on for a 51-47 win at Inter-Lakes in Meredith on Thursday night. The Saints were led by 17 points from Brady Rogers and 11 points from Reece Rogers, while the Lakers were paced by 19 points from Owen Brown and 14 points from Roley Haag.
