Behind a game-high 26 points from sophomore Brode Frink, Concord Christian won a pivotal Division IV match-up at Holy Family, 67-63, on Wednesday night.
The Kingsmen jumped out to 22-16 lead after one quarter and later led 40-30 at the half. The Griffins came out strong for the second half, outscoring CCA 16-4 in the 3rd quarter, and took a 46-44 lead into the final frame.
Concord Christian dominated the 4th early on and led by 13 with just 1:16 remaining and hung on for the four-point win.
Also scoring in double-digits for CCA was Austin Spurr (14), Jaden Young (12) and Ethan Young (11). The Griffins were paced by 20 points from Gabe Lacasse and 14 from Yves Mugiraneza.
The Kingsmen improve to a 5-0 on the season, while the loss was the first of the year for Holy Family (2-1).
