Epping girls handle Wilton-Lyndeborough

Annabelle Shumway poured in a game-high 16 points to lead Epping to an opening night victory, 40-19, over Wilton-Lyndeborough on Friday.

The Blue Devils got off to a slow start as they trailed the Warriors 3-2 after the first quarter of play. Epping blew the game open in the second as they outscored Wilton 16-6 to take a 18-9 lead to the break and it proved to be too much to overcome.

Farmington rolls past Wilton-Lyndeborough

Twelve Tigers scored as Farmington cruised to a 68-21 victory over visiting Wilton-Lyndeborough on Friday night.

The Tigers led 48-9 at intermission and coasted to their 11th victory of the season (11-1). Farmington was led by 11 points apiece fro Cody Brazee and Brian Boisvert, while Jordan Berko added 10.

Farmington girls down Warriors

The Farmington girls improved to 8-5 on the season with a wire-to-wire 52-28 victory over visiting Wilton-Lyndeborough on Friday night.

The Tigers were led by 19 points from Madi Ricker and 11 from Jaelyn Prosper, while the Warriors were paced by 14 from Lexi Bausha.

Hot-shooting Tigers roll past Warriors

The Farmington boys jumped out to an 11-3 lead just 90 seconds into the game and never looked back. Behind 12 three-point field goals, the Tigers led wire-to-wire at Wilton-Lyndeborough and came away with an impressive 69-38 victory.

Farmington was led by junior Shawn Murphy’s 20 points, while seniors Brian Boisvert (13 points) and Matt Savoy (11) also netted double figures for the Tigers. The Tigers move to 3-0 on the season, while the Warriors fall to 0-2.

Lapanne leads Tigers past Warriors

Behind a game-high 17 points from Makayla Lapanne, the Farmington girls went on the road and defeated Wilton-Lyndeborough, 39-30, on Friday night. The Tigers managed just three points in the first quarter and trailed 16-14 at half before rallying for the victory. 

Farmington improves to 2-1 on the season, while the Warriors fall to 0-3.

📰 Opening day is on the way

The wait is almost over. On Friday, December 10th, 84 of the 88 NHIAA boys varsity basketball teams will be in action with 42 games around the state as the 2021-22 season gets underway.

St. Thomas Aquinas hits the road to take on Hillsboro-Deering at 5:30 pm to mark the first official tilt of the new campaign. The Saints and Hillcats last squared off on February 28, 2020 in the regular-season finale as St. Thomas came away with an easy 72-46 victory at home.

Eight other contests tipoff at 6:00 pm, with 24 match-ups at 6:30 pm and nine more at 7:00 pm. It’s the most games on a single day all season long, so there’s no good reason to not get out and catch some local action on Friday night.
