Division IV Groveton sweeps D-III White Mountains

GROVETON, NH – Division IV Groveton swept D-III White Mountains on Monday night. The Eagle girls were victorious 65-60, while the boys won 47-28. 

On the girls side, Delaney Whiting led all scorers with a game-high 18 points for the Eagles with Makalyn Kenison (11 points) and Mylee Kenison (10) both adding double digits. Olivia Lorenz led the Spartans with nine points.

With the win, Groveton improves to 11-1 on the season, while WMRHS falls to 8-5.

On the boys side, Ashton Kenison poured in a game-high 26 points and Hunter Parks added 21 to lead the Eagles to the win. The Spartans were paced by 14 points apiece from Tommaso Paluello and Aiden Whipple and 13 from Kasen Smith. 

Groveton moves to 9-4 with the win and White Mountains falls to 5-7.

Division III Newport sweeps D-IV Hinsdale

HINSDALE, NH – Division III Newport went on the road and completed the sweep of D-IV Hinsdale on Tuesday night. The Tiger girls won, 59-17, and the boys were victorious 67-54.

On the girls side, Taylor Fellows led all scorers with a game-high 18 points for Newport, with Zoey Lord adding 16 of her own. Gemma Doty and Gigi Gale both scored eight points and Rya Tetreault added seven for the Pacers.

With the win, Newport improves to 10-2 on the season, while Hinsdale drops to 5-6.

On the boys side, Christian Forsythe led the Tigers with 24 points, while Aaron Fellows added 21 and Adrian Sanchez netted 13. Connor Dixon tallied 24 points for the Pacers and John Winter added 10.

With the win, Newport improves to 9-4 on the season and Hinsdale falls to 7-5.

Littleton sweeps visiting Pittsburg-Canaan

LITTLETON, NH – Littleton completed the North Country sweep of visiting Pittsburg-Canaan on Tuesday night as the Crusader girls were victorious 45-34 and the boys won 60-42.

On the girls side, the Crusaders trailed 22-16 at the break before outscoring the Yellow Jackets 29-12 in the second half to come away with the victory. Addison Hadlock led all scorers with 15 points for Littleton, while JuJu Bromley added 10 points. Alyvia Jaimes paced Pittsburg-Canaan with 12 points.

The Crusaders remain perfect with the victory and improve to 12-0 on the season. The Yellow Jackets fall to 6-5.

On the boys side, Littleton jumped out to a 21-4 lead and never looked back.

Daven Reagey (14 points), Sam Reagey (11) and Logan Poulton (11) all netted double-digits for the Crusaders, while Daemon Jaimes led PC with 12 points.

With the victory, Littleton improves to 11-1 on the season. PC falls to 6-6.

Beckles leads Newmarket past Portsmouth Christian

NEWMARKET, NH – Amaya Beckles poured in a game-high 24 points to lead host Newmarket past Portsmouth Christian, 46-23, on Tuesday night. 

Ava Buchanan scored eight to pace the Eagles. 

With the win, Newmarket jumps to 10-2 on the season, while PCA drops to 8-4.

Farmington girls and boys cruise past Epping on the road

EPPING, NH – Farmington went on the road and pulled off two dominant wins at Epping on Tuesday night. The FHS girls were victorious 74-15, while the boys won 60-37.

On the girls side, Madi Ricker (20 points), Shaylee DiPrizio (18), Anna Cardinal (15) and Zoey Johnson (15) all netted double digits for Farmington. Epping was led by eight points from Emily Carleton.

With the win, Farmington improves to 9-3 on the season, while the Blue Devils fall to 0-2.

On the boys side, Noah Elwell poured in a game-high 20 points for the Tigers, while Demery Hadges and Lucas Watson added 13 and 12 points, respectively. Epping was paced by Blake Snyder’s 11 points and Henry Hodgkins chipped in with 10.

FHS improves to 7-4 on the season, while Epping falls to 5-7.

Strong third quarter propels Hollis-Brookline past Souhegan

HOLLIS, NH – Hollis-Brookline scored 19 third-quarter points en route to a 61-33 victory over Souhegan on Tuesday night. 

The Cavaliers were paced by 17 points from Alton Williams, while James Arthur (13) and Yarie Ramos (11) both tallied double-figures. Weston Hickman scored 12 for the Sabers. 

With the win HB jumps to 7-3, while Souhegan falls to 5-5.

Kingswood hangs on to defeat visiting ConVal

WOLFEBORO, NH – Kingswood defeated ConVal, 60-56, on Tuesday night in a Division II showdown.

The Knights started off strong by opening up a 19-14 lead after on quarter of play, but the Cougars battled back to cut the lead to one at the break, 28-27. 

A 20-point third quarter saw Kingswood take a 48-41 lead through three quarters of action. ConVal battled back to tie the game in the 4th quarter with 1:37 left.

Kingswood’s Brady Moulton converted an and-1 with 50 seconds left to give the Knights the lead for good and they hung on for the win.

Moulton led Kingswood with a team-high 14 points, while Thomas Benker (13 points) and Noah Leighton (11) both added double-digits. ConVal was paced by 14 points from Max Cail and 12 by Ryan Close.

With the win, the Knights improve to 4-6 on the season, while the Cougars fall to 2-7.

D-II Sanborn sails past D-I Timberlane

PLAISTOW, NH – Division II Sanborn went on the road and sailed past D-I Timberlane, 69-35, on Monday night.

Dylan Rego led all scorers with 23 points for the Indians, including three dunks, while Chase Frizzell and Brandon Sarette added 15 and 13 points, respectively.

Mike Santosuossu paced the Owls with eight points.

With the win, Sanborn improves to 7-3. Timberlane falls to 0-12.

NHTI’s comeback bid falls short

ALBANY, NY – The Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences pulled off a close victory against visiting NHTI, 80-78, on Saturday afternoon.

Freshman Ezekiel McCoy (Franklin) came off the bench and sparked the comeback with four second half three-point shots to erase a 16-point deficit. He helped put the Lynx in a position to win the game, however, freshman forward Mark Lual’s three-point attempt bounced off the back rim as time expired.

The Lynx were paced by a game-high 20 points from freshman guard DJ Brown. Freshman forward Isaiah Ayers (15 points), McCoy (13) and freshman center Isaac YnFante (10) added double-digits for NHTI as well.

The Lynx struggled from the line as they only connected on 61.1% of their free throws (11-18) which proved to be costly for the team in a close game.

With the loss, the Lynx fell to 0-9 in the Yankee Conference and 3-9 overall.

Pittsburg-Canaan eases past Lin-Wood

LINCOLN, NH – Visiting Pittsburg-Canaan eased past host Lin-Wood, 57-22, on Friday night.

Paige Robinson led all scorers with a game-high 17 points for the Yellow Jackets, while Alyvia Jaimes added 11.

With the win, PC improves to 6-4 on the season, while the Lumberjacks fall 4-8.
