Brewster jumps to No. 5 in latest ESPN poll

After knocking off the No. 2 team in the country last Friday, Brewster Academy has jumped seven spots in the latest ESPN High School Top 25 Poll and currently ranks 5th in the nation.

The Bobcats had a pair of wins on the weekend at the Sunshine Classic in Montverde, Fla., including a convincing 67-50 win over No. 2 Long Island Lutheran (NY). Brewster then handled Orangeville Academy 65-46 on Saturday.

Tonight’s Brewster game has been cancelled, but the Bobcats return to action this weekend at the NBA Cup in Las Vegas as they take on No. 17 AZ Compass (AZ) on Friday and then a tilt with No. 1 Montverde on Sunday. Both games can been live on the NBA TV app.

Brewster basketball is different

Brewster Academy Basketball is just different.

The only Nike Elite High School Program in New England, the Bobcats currently rank 12th nationally in the ESPN High School Basketball Top-25 Poll.

With a 5-0 record to start the season, Brewster is averaging just over 115 points per game and winning by an average margin of nearly 60 PPG.

#12 Brewster blows past Busche Academy

WOLFEBORO, NH – The Brewster Academy National Team used a 36-2 first quarter to propel the Bobcats to a 119-54 victory over visiting Busche Academy on Tuesday night at The Smith Center in Wolfeboro.

Brewster, the 12th-ranked team nationally in the latest ESPN High School Basketball Top-25 Poll, was led by a balanced attack that featured seven players in double figures.

Ater Bol Meen led the way with 18 points, while Sebastian Wilkins (17), Clyde Walters (15), Killyan Toure (13), Payday Moore (12), Noble (11) and Preston Fowler (10) all added double-digits.

While we were away…

#18 Brewster handles Busche

WOLFEBORO – Brewster Academy, the 18th ranked high school team in the nation, flexed their muscle on Wednesday night with a convincing 91-67 victory over visiting Busche Academy (AAA) at Radley Court.

The Bobcats turned in a dominant effort that featured six players in double figures. Brewster was paced by 18 points from Daniel Jacobsen (Purdue). Dwayne Aristode added 16 points, while Nojus Indrusaitis (Iowa State) and Preston Fowler both chipped in with 15. Elijah Crawford (Stanford) netted 11.

Brewster improves to 3-0 on the young season, which is the Bobcats first as a member of the National Interscholastic Basketball Conference, the premier high school hoops league in the country.

Busche Academy, located in Chester, NH, was led by a game-high 19 points from Jahmari Hamilton-Brown.

Brewster Academy advances to NEPSAC final

Brewster Academy pulled away in the second half from Bridgton to earn an 87-71 win in semifinal action of the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC) Tournament on Saturday evening. Under head coach Jason Smith, the Bobcats earn a spot in tomorrow’s NEPSAC title game and will host Northfield Mount Hermon at 2:00 pm.
