Blistering start leads Littleton past Groveton

In a showdown between the top two teams in Division IV, Littleton opened the game on a 20-3 run in the 1st quarter and went on to earn the win over visiting Groveton, 41-36, on Friday night.

With the win, the Crusaders improve to a perfect 17-0 and will look to finish off the perfect regular season when they travel to Colebrook on Monday night. The Eagles fall to 15-2 on the season, with both losses coming to Littleton.

Addison Pilgrim (14 points) and Addison Hadlock (10) led the Crusaders, while Delaney Whiting paced Groveton with 13.

Leslie leads Profile past Groveton

Senior Alex Leslie poured in 25 points, including 10 in the 4th quarter, to lead Profile to a 65-39 win at Groveton on Tuesday night.

Karsen Robie (12) and Cayden Wakeham (11) also added double digits for the Patriots, while the Division IV leading scorer Josh Robie was held to just 10 points.

The Eagles were led by 24 points from Hunter Parks.

With the win, Profile pushes its perfect record to 16-0, while Groveton falls to 9-8 on the season.

Woodsville pulls away from Groveton in the 4th

Visiting Woodsville pulled away from Groveton in the 4th quarter on Saturday to come away with a 55-43 win.

Landon Kingsbury led the way for the Engineers scoring 20 points, going 12/13 at the line, while Connor Newcomb added 12. Hunter Parks had a team high of 11 for the Eagles. 

With the win, Woodsville improves to 11-2 on the season, while the Eagles (7-7) fall to .500 on the year.

Gorham beats the buzzer to knock off Groveton

Jack Saladino connected on a three-pointer as time expired to give Gorham a 49-46 victory over visiting Groveton on Monday night.

The Eagles came out the gates firing as they poured in 21 1st-quarter points and led by nine. The Huskies settled in and clawed their way back, cutting the Groveton lead to five at the break.

A 16-6 3rd quarter put the home Huskies up 42-37 entering the final frame. Groveton came back to tie the game at 46-46, setting up Saladino’s final heroics.

Saladino led Groveton with 12 ponts, while Isaac Langlois added 11. Ashton Tennis was the game’s leading scorer with 13 for Groveton and Kade Cloutier and Dylan Simino each netted 10 points apiece.

With the win, Gorham improves to 7-5. Grove has now dropped three-straight to fall to 6-6.
